Ancient Artifacts: Rolling for Loot and Adventure! a (p)review

I’ve had a chance to play Ancient Artifacts in several iterations. In its present (and near final state), Ancient Artifacts is a roll and write game about searching for hidden treasure by accessing abilities through dice placement and push your luck rolling.

If Plants v. Zombies was a math game, Fairway’s pretty sure that his kids would be doing college-level differential equations. But alas, it’s not. Enter City of Zombies: The Board Game.  Marching zombie hoards are threatening your zombie-fighting, kid heroes. Their only weapon: math.  Find out if Fairway solved this one.

For some reason, all of Fairway’s stories end with dad jokes and his daughter’s always involved dirty socks and time travel. That’s what Fairway learned when he played The Siblings Trouble. A relatively recent Kickstarter game from Eduardo Baraf.

By many accounts, world bee populations are in decline.  Times are tough for honey bees.  Today, Fairway picks up a recent Kickstarter delivery that takes on the hard life of bees and the threats to them: Honey Wars by Gold Seal Games. Find out if the game is sweet or whether he just gets stung.
